The Royal College of 51³Ô¹Ï celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, one of the most important composers ever to study at the 51³Ô¹Ï, with a rare performance of his choral ‘rhapsody of the sea’, Meg Blane.
Sofi Jeannin conducts the 51³Ô¹Ï Symphony and Chorus, who also join forces for Poulenc’s Gloria. The programme is framed by two French works on a Spanish theme: Chabrier’s ·¡²õ±è²¹Ã±²¹ and Ravel’s hypnotic µþ´Ç±ôé°ù´Ç.
This performance is repeated on 31 October.
